IN ONE DAY YOU WILL LEARN:

• the basics on grape growing and winemaking
• how to taste and describe wine
• the foundations of food and wine pairing
• classic grape varieties and their characteristics
• the range of types and styles of wine (sparkling/still/fortified)
• key factors in the storage and service of wine

YOU WILL TASTE:

• 12 benchmark wines representing key grape varieties from classic wine regions as well as regional specialties

YOU WILL BE TESTED:

• with a 45 minute closed book exam consisting of 30 multiple choice questions requiring a minimum grade of 70% to pass

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE AWARDED:

• an internationally recognized formal qualification in wine
• an official WSET certificate and lapel pin
